Club Information

The Kensington Youth and Ski Club was founded by several parents in the fall of 2016. The Club is a 501c3 charitable organization set up to promote skiing, snowboarding and good sportmanship for youth. On our first season, we had 33 members and went on 5 bus trips - four to Liberty and one to Whitetail. For the 2018 season, our 52 members took 6 trips on a full coach bus - three to Liberty and three to Whitetail. We typicall plan to run 1-3 coach buses, depending on demand. Trips vary from year to year and are typically a combination of Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays to Liberty and Whitetail resorts. See the Schedule page for this season's. trips.

The club is open to students in grades 6 through 12. Note that the ski club will be running trips outside of the official ski club programs offered by the local mountains. Vail's offerings were restricted to 5 specific nights at a single mountain, and was only available Monday-Friday nights.

Fees:

There are two costs required in order to participate in KYSC.

KYSC FEES

The membership fee (to be determined) covers club expenses and bus transportation. Registration is online via CommunityPass. Payment must be made at the time of registration. Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover cards are accepted. You may also pay by e-check using your bank routing number and checking account number.

LIFT TICKET  FEES

Lift tickets must be purchased by each member. They are not provided by the club. If you are only skiing with the club, the most cost effective option is to buy an Epic Day Pass for 5 days on epicpass.com (choose 22 Resorts option). Unlike past years, Vail Resorts, the owners of Liberty and Whitetail, are not offering the same unlimited night skiing card as in previous years.
